Hello Parents and Guardians:
Welcome to the new BSR website. Mr. U. has been working on the new format for the past several months and we think it’s fantastic. We hope you agree!
The end of a school year is always beautiful and bittersweet. On June 2, we held our traditional 8th grade dinner dance. Our 8th grade ladies were exceptionally beautiful that night and our young men were dashingly handsome. A good time was had by all. Thank you to our extraordinary 8th grade committee, who decorated, donated, and cleaned up. Everyone helped to make this evening very special.
Eighth grade graduation is always emotional and this year was no exception. Our graduates were poised and ready to accept the new challenges ahead of them. We wish them well as they begin on their new path of high school education.
Joyful is the word that describes the Kindergarten graduation. The students were exuberant on their special day. They proudly sang their song stating that they were ready for first grade. Family members shared refreshments with our up-coming first graders after the graduation in the school’s cafeteria.
Of course we can’t forget Pre-K as they, too, graduated with family watching proudly.
I would like to thank all of the students who participated in the evacuation drill. It was performed precisely, quickly, and quietly. Well done teachers and students!
Many changes are coming to BSR next year and we are truly excited. Keep looking for sneak hints over the summer months in my newsletters.
Parents, if you have new phone numbers or emails, please let the office know so that we can update Call Command and our files.
I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the faculty, to wish our co-worker, Mrs. Smith, a very HAPPY RETIREMENT!! Mrs. Smith has dedicated her professional life to Catholic education. Henry Brooks states: “A teacher affects eternity; [s]he can never tell where his [her] influence stops.” Mrs. Smith has touched the lives of thousands of students and anyone who knows her will never read a poem or Edgar Allen Poe, without a quick memory of Mrs. Smith. Once again, happy retirement, Mrs. Smith, YOU DESERVE IT!
The students will be attending 8:00 Mass on Tuesday, 6/19. Please feel free to join us in church on our last day of school.
On behalf of the faculty, staff, administration, and priests of BSR, I would like to thank you, the parents, for your support and encouragement throughout this past school year, and wish you a relaxing and fun-filled summer.
Watch for posts this summer.
